What size solar water heater do I need?

It depends on how much hot water you use each day. A common rule of thumb is around 40 to 60 litres per person per day, so a family of four often needs a system of roughly 200 to 300 litres. We confirm the size after checking your usage and roof.

Does a solar water heater work in the UAE summer?

Yes, very well. In peak summer it can produce hotter water than you need, so systems include a mixing (tempering) valve that delivers water at a safe temperature.

What happens at night or on cloudy days?

The insulated storage tank keeps water hot overnight, and a backup electric heater tops it up when the sun alone isn't enough.

How do I maintain a solar water heater?

Keep the collectors free of dust and sand, and check for scale from time to time, especially where the water is hard. We can advise a simple maintenance schedule for your system.

Can you install solar water heaters on apartment buildings?

Yes, where there is suitable roof space and access. We assess the roof, pipe routes and hot water demand before recommending a system.
